Battery producers and incorporators (e.g. manufacturers of powered hand tools) come to SNAM to take account, right from battery design, of recycling issues that can lead to the use of certain substances. The identification of components can provide directions on the future recycling costs related to battery end-of-life. This is eco-design.
- Production scrap: material from cutting, deburring coils.
- Sludge from water treatment plants
- Dust and filters from air treatments
- New industrial waste: manufactured products that do not meet quality criteria on leaving the production line.
Battery and accumulator manufacturers, when replacing with new batteries, can recover the used items for recycling purposes. This can be an additional argument for an "all-in" service for the customer.
